Poem# 10- Letters of Love and Madness

Lost in letters of love and madness, obsessed;
frozen solid in a block of remembrance,
aching for my pain and sadness, at best.

Marked for clearance on display, dressed
in a mask of strength, eluding balance
lost in letters of love and madness, obsessed.

Stamped as spoiled goods, anger undressed,
leaking moods, control begins to take absence
aching for my pain and sadness, at best.

Teetering on a mental edge, panic at breast.
Writing prayers to God for benevolence,
lost in letters of love and madness, obsessed.

Sipping on temptations of mania, pulling off a vest
of depression, shaking with caffeinated brilliance,
aching for my pain and sadness, at best.

Scribbling enlightenment in journals, craving rest,
seeking past toils, aspiring emotional independence,
lost in letters of love and madness, obsessed
aching for my pain and sadness, at best.

  1. I like the word choices in here, the whole poem has a nice flow and good imagery.
